History of Striped Duofold
In 1940 the Grometric Duofold was replaced by a new model, the Striped Duofold, using a material referred to by Parker as Laidtone.
In the Striped series there were button-fillers, also Vacumatic fillers which were the equivalent of the top of the range Vacumatics.
The botton-filling pens were made of opaque plastic in sizes which were about the same as the two smaller Vacumatics and had Visometer sections and black blind caps.
The Vacumatic fillers had transparent strips so one could check the volume of ink in the barrel.
