The raw stainless steel gets a brushed finish and thus gets its elegance. The high weight of the model easily presses the writing instrument onto the paper by itself. This enables longer writing. The gel refill and the ceramic ball enable particularly easy writing with an exceptionally soft writing feel.

The German Shepherd has been Kaweco's heraldic animal since the 1950s. Former owner Grube loved dogs, especially shepherds. They were the symbol of reliability and loyalty. As these qualities also apply to Kaweco writing instruments, the Schaefer dog was chosen as a heraldic animal. The current pen holder is a stronger replica of the original 50's pen holder.
