Go have a look in the "Specifications" section below at the PDF file to see which drawing by Hergé inspired the creation of this vehicle.
The Ambulance of the Asylum: Taken from the album "Cigars of the Pharaoh"
Locked up in the "nuthouse" in India, Tintin manages to escape therefrom but very quickly is caught again by the local police and back to square one in straitjacket and ambulance. Again, this ambulance does not correspond to any commercialized motorized vehicles in operation at that time. It is very likely that Hergé was inspired by the design of several American trucks that drives on the roads during the 1920 and 1930 years.
