For the second piece in the "Icons" collection, today we are pleased to present the Shark Submarine. This is a stunning resin replica of the invention of Professor Calculus, which has been produced with strict faithfulness.
The submarine is fixed on a transparent stand at the right height to give the impression that the craft is floating above the ground. The base is painted yellow to give the impression of the sand on the seabed.
The model is neither too big nor too small (266 mm), it has been reduced to a suitable size to integrate harmoniously with the other pieces in the collection.
We also opted for a satin finish that brings an extra touch of gracefulness to the object. Also setting it visually consistent with the other pieces in the collection.
Our designers tell us about their underwater adventure. Diving with them into the depths...

Tintin and Snowy at home!
After escaping the clutches of Mitsuhirato and exploring the seabed amidst sharks, the time has come for Tintin to take some rest.
Our third "Icon" has Tintin sitting comfortably in an armchair, a book in his hands and Snowy asleep at his feet.
The scene is from The Broken Ear.
The story begins with the theft of a sacred tribal object at the Museum of Ethnography. Tintin soon gets involved alongside the detectives, the Thompsons. From the outset, he seeks to know more about the country of Arumbayas, region of origin of the precious statue.
As a conscientious journalist, our little reporter meticulously documents his findings to prepare his report for filing to the "papers".
Our 3D team wanted to respect this design; this is why the edges of the model are sharp and very "clear line". There was no question of adding extra details, such as seams or bulk due to padding.

Since his appearance in The Crab with the Golden Claws in 1941, Captain Haddock has never ceased to surprise us with the multiple aspects of his personality. By turns generous, sensitive, angry, vengeful, brave, heroic, weak, depressed, here he is now theatrical, lyrical and as if possessed by his illustrious ancestor, the knight François de Hadoque. We find him here in a combat position, ready to fight with these forbidding men, in this case, his janitor and a locksmith. Presented in a position that says a lot about his ferocity in the engagement, Haddock transports us in a single image in a world of freebooters, privateers and gallows-birds. Tintin's friend is a real tough guy, which does not prevent him from being a real comedian, even with a sword in his hand.

Allan is the archetypal scoundrel, ready to do anything to get what he wants.
A real gangster's face, that's how you can describe Allan Thompson. With his twisted eyes and thick Robert Mitchum eyebrows, there's something familiar about his look. He is the epitome of all the tough guys of film noir, the lawless scoundrels with a cigarette forever stuck in their mouth.
We know his weakness for alcohol, hence the presence of this bottle with its obvious contents. Single malt and blended drinks were often the objects of temptation for an old sea dog who nevertheless remained surprisingly sober in this sequence.

Crucial moment
It is the one where Roberto Rastapopoulos lowers his cards, or rather raises his sleeve to show to Tintin his tattoo, the sign of the pharaoh Kih-Oskh, proof of his membership in the international gang of drug traffickers of which he is besides the supreme chief. Like any big boss who respects himself, his setting is impeccable, the monocle and the cigar adding the touch of refinement that he wishes to display.
But it's a waste of time, true class can't be bought and our man has made all the efforts of coquetry of the ground, it gives above all the aspect of a scoundrel a little vulgar. The smile, the big eyebrows in circumflex accent, Rastapopoulos displays a bad air; he holds Tintin at his mercy and and intends to let him know it. One can only be pleased with the choice made by the designers of the figurine, it is very revealing of the character.

Our Thompson looks absolutely superb in his mandarin suit! Like his colleague Thomson, he is dressed from head to toe, well almost, in the manner of the high officials of the Chinese Empire. A restriction is indeed to be noted in terms of the shoes, as a policeman of his rank is obliged to wear regulation boots.
