Florence 1774
Francesco Pineider opened his first shop in Florence in Piazza della Signoria, in front of the Michelangelo’s David, in 1774. It soon became the stationery shop of choice for the cultured and
romantic European travelers thanks to the wide range of European papers and the excellent quality of its exclusive, handmade lithographic prints. Napoleon was among the clients of this historic venue, which welcomed writers, artists and poets. In 1965, Florence, a picture-perfect cultural and commercial crossroad, became the Italian capital. Pineider created the first city tour guides and very soon became the trusted supplier of prestige printed documents and personal cards for the ruling Savoia family, embassies, ministries and state offices. In 1870 a second shop was opened in Rome to cater to the needs of the Royal household. Almost three centuries later, Pineider is still renowned the World over for its style and uniqueness. Today the range of products includes leather goods, stationery, and writing instruments manufactured according to the most demanding standards of the Made in Italy tradition.

Pineider writing instruments are made of the best and most innovative materials, according to the highest standards of the Italian craftsmanship. Pineider design stands for elegance, tradition
and a lively character. To honor the Brand’s long relationship with arts and science, in 2017 Pineider decided to shape the clip of its writing instruments after a Quill, since the Quill has been used to pass knowledge on for hundreds of years. All Pineider pens are design, developed and manufactured in Italy.
