CELEBRATION OF A PIONEER MASTER CUTLER
To mark the 100th anniversary of the death of the pioneer master cutler, Karl Elsener, Swissmint (the Federal Mint) is issuing a "Swiss Army Knife" silver coin. With this new 20 franc commemorative coin for collectors and enthusiasts, Swissmint is honoring the pioneer behind the legendary Swiss Army Knife.
Only 8 000 pieces of the "Karl Elsener Commemorative Coin Set 2018" will be available worldwide. The coin was designed by the graphic designer, Nadja Baltensweiler, from Lucerne. The set also includes a specially designed edition of the Huntsman pocket knife. Adorned with the signature of Karl Elsener, the pocket knife design goes with the set perfectly.
