Most works of modern German art are swimming around in museums. This one still works for a living. The LAMY 2000 has been writing its way into design history since 1966. Even today, many people regard it as one of the world´s most modern writing instruments. A combination of fibreglass-reinforced Makrolon and stainless steel with a brush finish. Realising the timeless design in this material required a sophisticated craftsmanship which is especially reflected in the combination of the different manufacturing and refining processes that were applied. The result is a harmonic symbiosis of high-end craftsmanship and complex technological processes. The series consisting of the fountain pen with a hand-polished, platinized 14 carat gold nib, the ballpoint pen and the rollerball pen uses its elaborate cigar-shaped form in order to fit perfectly into the hand. The design is highlighted by a high-quality matted stainless steel surface and the high-gloss spring-loaded clip. The velvety brushed surface lends a warm feeling to the material which, combined with its perfectly balanced weight, create an unforgettable writing experience.

The LAMY 2000 made from stainless steel is one hundred per cent Made in Germany as are all Lamy products from Heidelberg.
