First batch limited to 2,000 sets:
Special package with a booklet "Ah, Fifty Years of Hardship." *
#3776 CENTURY Travia now proudly features the newly engineered FLAF nib. Its sharper, more acute tip delivers a new writing experience - supple and smooth as if gliding across the paper.
Named after the initials of "Float Like A Feather," the FLAF nib delivers exactly what its name suggests: a writing feel like a feather floating over the paper.
At the same time, it offers precise control to express even the finest nuances with lines exactly as you intend. From the very first stroke to stops, flicks, and sweeps, the FLAF nib responds to the writer's sensibility.
When we evaluate and compare the nib's flex response, the FLAF nib flexes with less force than the current nib.
In addition, while the #3776 CENTURY "F" and "SF" used for comparison show a bow-shaped curve characteristic, the FLAF nib shows a more linear curve response - flexing in direct proportion to the force applied. This means the line changes as intended with writing pressure, making the FLAF nib easier to control and fine-tune in feel.
Stable writing balance created by a long body & metal components
The flat-top design introduced on the DECADE is adopted, while evolving it into a long-body format with a metal component (balancer) integrated at the center of the barrel. In addition, the grip section also incorporates metal, bringing the center of gravity closer to the fingertips and maintaining a stable balance even during extended writing sessions. Whether writing fine characters or bold strokes, the fountain pen is engineered to respond exactly as intended.
Black & Ruthenium
The metal trim features a black plating with a refined subdued shine. The nib is treated with a ruthenium plating that conveys depth and elegance, creating a modern and luxurious look.
Barrel, cap: Resin
Grip: Black chrome plating on metal
Crown, end plug, ring, clip, balancer: Black nickel plating on metal

* "Ah, Fifty Years of Hardship" is a chronicle of Platinum Pen's journey, written by our founder, Shunichi Nakata, himself.
